A No, they wear them if they want to, often to keep the sun off

A Turkey is the ONLY secular country in the Moslem world. This
means that although 90% of its people follow the faith of Islam, all other
religions are recognized and may be practiced openly.

is often forgotten or overlooked that this region boasts a wealth of
artifacts from prominent times in the western worlds historical calendar.
Mount Ararat, where Noah landed the Ark, is in eastern Turkey. St
Nicholas' (Father Christmas) was a monk who sought refuge in a monastry at

A Turkish people are generally a very peace loving race. They do
get rather passionate about some things though. Terrorism is one - which
